Next on the `what to bring list` should be a good backpack. Based on the number of days you intend on hiking will largely determine the size and scope of the pack you will need. If you are camping along your hiking route then you will need a larger pack that can accommodate not only your clothes but also you tent and sleeping bag food and cooking stove/utensils and water and other necessities. If you are this during the colder months you will need to plan for additional winter gear and garments. If it is the rainy season then proper raingear would be a must. Avoid The Same Hiking Mistakes I Made.
Planning Make a list of items you might need or want and give yourself time to get things together rather than attempting to throw everything together at the last minute. Your trip will be much more enjoyable if just take time make a list and plan. Your list should include everything that you need and or want as well as those just in case items. As you pack check each item off of your list to help ensure you`re not overlooking anything. There are many things to consider; sometimes making a list and planning is the only way to make sure you`ve got all of your must-haves to make the more enjoyable. It`s really all about individual desires and what you`ll be doing.
o Make it a rule pack up any medications and all first aid supplies that you may need. Prescription medications pain relief and vitamins are essentials. Those with allergies should bring along an epi-pen or allergy relief medication. Camping and hiking gear are a must for all hikers and outdoor adventure lovers. Providing safety and comfort and making our adventures possible they are mandatory for hikers.
Next the list of necessary supplies needed to safely proceed with our trip into the wilderness. Every trip into the outdoors requires us to carry a basic group of items that must be included in every backpack on the trail. These include water extra food a compass and maps first aid kit flashlight pocket knife or multitool waterproof matches and lighter space blanket twine or fishing line and extra clothing and rain gear. These items are for surviving the outing and should be carried every time you go into the wilderness. What I`m trying to say is even though you may not use these items having them and not needing them is much better than needing them and not having them.
